High Tea at the Ritz

It was a nice and relaxing day and an early anni celebration.

There are times when I feel overwhelmed with a sense of dread. Often about life in general but mainly about my job and where it is heading. I often wonder if I am in the right industry and if other people have the same feeling of dread that I have about my job. So many questions and so many doubts, I get so tired of it all.

But what with the impending nuptials, the nest, and the credit crunch all together, I can't very much up and leave. Well, at least not in the short term. At least this time I have found a place I actually like, aside from the crazies which are abundant everywhere I go. heh.

Anyways looking forward to the near future, with lots of excitement and anticipation.

There are too many places I really want to visit. Truth be told, travelling is one of my passions, there is nothing I love more than a good holiday to escape the madness of the day. Whether it is a quick jaunt to a neighbouring country or sitting more than 10 hrs to somewhere further. It is always a pleasure to touch down somewhere different, with fresh sights and sounds to explore.
Of the many places I want to go, these are a few of the more interesting ones that I am looking forward to;

1) The blue lagoon

Imagine taking a dip in the hot spring in the dead of winter. The place looks gorgeous too. Havn't had a winter holiday in a long time, so this would be nice.

2) Machu Pichu

Machu Picchu (Quechua: Machu Pikchu, "Old Peak", pronounced [ˈmɑtʃu ˈpiktʃu]) is a pre-Columbian Inca site located 2,430 metres (8,000 ft) above sea level[1]. It is situated on a mountain ridge above the Urubamba Valley in Peru, which is 80 kilometres (50 mi) northwest of Cuzco and through which the Urubamba River flows. Often referred to as "The Lost City of the Incas", Machu Picchu is one of the most familiar symbols of the Inca Empire. (source wikipedia)

Abit worried about the altitude sickness tho' but I think it will be so awesome.

3) The Pyramids of Giza

Who would not want to visit the pyramids, I cannot imagine. It is just such an amazing and beautiful sight so I really want to see it in person. Also am interested to take the tour inside to see what it's like. Pretty morbid I suppose considering these are meant to be tombs but oh so fascinating.
The list is expansive but these are just to name a few. Not sure when we will have the time or the budget to go, so I will just have to satisfy myself with short jaunts for now and our minimoon in Sept. Looking forward to lounging by the pool and hearing the waves rolling against the beach.

The weekend went by in a whirl again. This weekend we bought a garment steamer and I am pleased as punch. We had been thinking about it for some time but I wasn't sure I would actually end up using it, but I am soo loving it now. :) It's really a breeze to use and oh so fast! Managed to whizz through more buckets of unironed clothes, yes I have buckets of unironed clothes, due the the renovations, in just under three hours, it was wonderful! Never have I enjoyed doing the ironing so much, altho I guess now it should be called the steaming! heh.

In other news, the Dar changed his HP, again. Yups, traded in the N86 in just under a month for the W995, so we'll see how that pans out. The N86 was annoying him no end, as it was constantly hanging and so to put an end to his whinging we trooped down to town early to get his new phone. It's really quite a beauty with a 8.1MP camera to boot. Which no doubt I will be happily benefitting from.
